In November 2025, the Arbor Acres Board of Directors approved the conceptual plan for the Francis Asbury Extension and Phase II of the Core Redevelopment. This important milestone ensures Arbor Acres can continue to fulfill its mission, update current facilities, and remain financially strong for years to come.

b. A 40-unit apartment building and 250-seat multipurpose auditorium will be built in their place.

d. Over the next year, we will work with residents on detailed relocation plans.
e. The renovation and construction work for this project is anticipated to start in the spring of 2027 and be completed in approximately 24 months.
4. Courtyard Homes
a. After the new 40-unit apartment building is complete, two new courtyard clusters will replace the old Bayberry apartments.
5. Dining & Kitchen Enhancements
a. Current plans call for expanding dining spaces in independent living meant to improve the flow for both residents and dining operations.
b. Kitchen upgrades will focus on equipment and efficiency within the existing footprint.
6. Auditorium
a. Piner Hall (current capacity of 150) will be replaced with a new auditorium with a capacity of 250.
Through newsletters, a campus message system, routine meetings and more, Arbor Acres will keep all those impacted by these changes up to date.
