This month’s Artist Spotlight shines on Regana Gwyn, Lead Nutrition Assistant, whose long tenure of dedication, spirit of excellence, and heartfelt commitment to residents have made a lasting impact at Arbor Acres since she joined the team in 2002.
“I started at Arbor Acres in the year 2002. As I looked at other places of employment, I chose Arbor Acres because I heard great things about the place. So, I decided to give it a try and join the team.
I’m looking forward to seeing Arbor Acres continue to follow our Mission Statement: “We create communities that celebrate the art of living.” Outside of work, I would like to continue to watch my grandson grow into his stunning personality. As for me, “But the Lord stood with me and gave me great strength.” (2 Timothy 4:17) I will continue to grow in grace through my life’s journey.
Excellence can be spoken for in a lot of different ways because it goes along with Stewardship, Trust, Artistry, and Respect. Above all, I love to put a smile on the residents’ faces and go the extra mile for them. They trust that I will deliver them excellent service.
I’ve had quite a few memories that I love to look back on. One year for Dining Appreciation Week, we played a game where we filled wine glasses with water. I have what some might call a “competitive side,” therefore, I sped-walked and my opponent tripped and fell and dropped their glass while trying to catch up with me. Another memory I am fond of is when I played Jenga against my manager, Bojana, and I would not give up no matter how difficult it was to get the pieces out. We had so much fun just laughing and going back and forth.”
From her passion for delivering exceptional service to the joy she finds in both her work and family, Regana continues to embody the mission of creating a community that truly celebrates the art of living!
