Erin Perkins
Director of Dining Arts, since 2019
To me, hospitality means helping people feel at ease. Whether a resident is welcoming someone special or having a difficult day, I hope our dining spaces offer comfort, a place where people are known by name, their preferences are remembered, and they feel cared for.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Beverage Management with a concentration in HJospitality from Johnson & Wales University. My career included Charlotte Country Club and five years as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Forsyth Country Club before I joined Arbor Acres in January 2012 as Dining Manager for Independent Living. Today, I oversee the entire dining program at Arbor Acres.
What makes this community special to me is the opportunity to bring residents’ interests and our Dining Artists’ talents together to create meaningful experiences. As a leader, I hope to inspire our team to take the extra step, feel proud of their work, and grow confident in their own judgment.
I believe every meal deserves thoughtful care because we may never know how much it means to someone. Through everyday meals and special celebrations, I hope we bring comfort, connection, and joy to those who call Arbor Acres home.
I hope our dining spaces offer comfort, a place where people are known by name, their preferences are remembered, and they feel cared for.
