Get to know Emily, 1/2 of our talented Renovations team!
“I started working at Arbor Acres in September of 2024. Before working at Arbor Acres, I was working as a home inspector doing pre-purchase inspections for home buyers of all types: first-time home buyers, investors, and even sellers who were getting ready to put their house on the market. I always had an itch to work in anything real estate-related—more specifically, remodeling or construction. I noticed Arbor Acres had an open position in Renovations and I thought, “This sounds perfect!” At the time, my family was working on our first house “flip,” so the idea of doing this as a career just sounded even more exciting.
I am really looking forward to seeing the end result of some of our ‘big’ projects. Also, looking forward to our Christmas celebrations!
The ARTIST value that resonates with me the most is either Innovation or Artistry. The Renovations department is still fairly new (with having an in-house contractor), so it has taken a lot of brainstorming, trial and error, and innovation! We are constantly trying to better the systems that are in place so residents can have a top-notch experience during their renovation process. I love that Arbor Acres sees us as ‘Artists’ because it means that we can work creatively and our work is viewed as art. This really resonates with the work we do in the Renovations department!
One of my favorite things about working here has to be our Christmas Party. Sorry, I love Christmas! I really enjoy the food, snacks and music. I had only been at Arbor Acres for a little over two months for my first Christmas party here and it was nice seeing that Arbor Acres does something fun every year for all the Artists.”
Emily keeps all renovations and projects on track and ensures completion with an artful eye! We are so lucky to have Emily at Arbor Acres!
